Peggy Ann Grabanski

Passed away on 4/20/2021

Peggy Ann Grabanski, age 82 of Northlake, IL, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021. She passed the same way she lived life, full of fire and grace and with her family. Peggy was full of country charm and big city style and will truly be missed by all. 


Peggy is survived by her husband, Ronald Grabanski with whom they shared 31 years together. 


She leaves behind her four beloved children: Debby Wright, Rhonda Prete, Vickie Bologna (Bob) and Matthew Marchiando Jr.


She will be cherished forever by her grandchildren: Nichole Williams (Tim), Cherise Byone (Jason), Bobby Bologna, Daryl Wright, David Wright, and Matthew Marchiando III and by her precious great grandchildren: Tyler Byone, Tylor Williams, Brooklyn Byone, Lailah Bologna, Wesley Byone, Zachary Byone and Tillie Williams who all brought her so much joy. 


Nephews: Buddy Mayes (Camille), Danny Mayes, and Don Mayes (Diane) and niece Lana Gail Hernandez (Santos) along with so many cousins. 


Peggy was welcomed home into heaven by her parents Alma Bradford and Wallace Bunnell of Alabama, her sister Helen Mayes (Martin Mayes), her first born grandson Danny Wright and her niece Deloise Mayes.


She began her career at Essex Electro in Schaumburg in 1988 until her retirement in 2015. During this time the friendships made there and in her community were unmatched. With her longest friendship spanning almost 70 years to her best friend Peggy Jackson. 


Peggy’s memorial will begin 3pm, April 28th, 2021 at Apostles Lutheran Church, 10429 W. Fullerton (just west of Mannheim) Melrose Park IL, followed by a church beginning at 5:30pm. 


In accordance with CDC Covid Guidelines, everyone attending will be required to properly wear a facial mask and observe social distancing.


Jeanette Ostrowsky

Passed away on 1/23/2021

Jeanette Ostrowsky, 82, of Palatine, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on 01/23/2021 at her home.

Jeanette was born in 1938 to the late Joseph Kosciwkeiwicz and Gabriela (Klimowicz) Kosciukiewicz, in Naliboki, Poland.

In 1943, during WWII, Jeanette and her family were deported from Poland and put into labor camps in Austria. In 1949 they arrived in America and Jeanette moved to Chicago in 1957.

It was in Chicago that Jeanette met Zenon “Z” Ostrowsky. They were married on April 20 th , 1964.

Together they raised three children: Annette, Karla, and Michelle. In 1975 the family moved to Palatine, Illinois where she resided until her death.

Jeanette had a variety of occupations including reservationist, dance teacher and even a can-can dancer in Alaska. Most of her career was at Wabash IPM where she was an AR Specialist for 30 years. She then worked with her daughter, Michelle, at Marshall Salon Services and retired in 2011.

She was an active member of St. Thomas of Villanova Parish, and enjoyed attending their Polish masses on Sundays.

Jeanette was a beautiful, kindhearted woman, with a big heart who always put others before herself.

She was a dedicated mother and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Madison, who was the light of her life.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Zenon “Z” Ostrowsky; sister, Halina Przybylski; daughter, Annette Excell; and daughter, Karla Breedlove.
Survivors of Jeanette include her daughter, Michelle (Steve) Ostrowsky-Stunkel; granddaughter, Madison Michelle Stunkel; and nephew, Robert Przybylski.


Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Saturday, February 27 th at 10:00am in St Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E Anderson Drive, Palatine.

Lisa C. McGuire

Passed away on 12/30/2020

Wednesday, December 30 2020, the life of Lisa C. McGuire (nee Capiz) was cut short. The free-spirited, benevolent, mother, daughter, sister, partner and friend, was born October 8, 1968 to Rudy Capiz (deceased) and Dee Capiz. She leaves behind her two children Paige Adam (nee McGuire) and Sean Bayard, her siblings Ron and Luann (Aunt Lupe), and her ever patient  partner David. She was loved and will be missed by them all, and is especially loved and will be forever missed by her partner David, who was with her and loved her for over a decade.


Lisa's wish was to not have a viewing, and a celebration of life will be scheduled for Summer 2021, near the birthdate of Lisa's late father, Rudy Capiz.

William "Bill" J. Oswald

Passed away on 12/06/2019

William “Bill” J. Oswald, age 74 passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, December 6, 2019 in Elmhurst after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathryn Wadington, having shared 18 years together.  William is lovingly remembered by his children Michelle and Samuel Hornsby, Jessica and Jason Denk, Christopher and Carrie Wadington. He will be greatly miss by his cherished grandchildren Giovanni, Donna, James, Caitlyn, Logan, Trevor and Zander.  William is preceded in death by his much-loved late wife Donna, parents Richard and Marie Oswald, brother and sister-in law David and Virginia Oswald. Born to Richard and Marie Oswald on July 22, 1945 in Oak Park, Illinois. A graduate from Walther High School. A proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam from 1966 – 1968. Known to all as a loving and hardworking man, he retired from 40 years with Commonwealth Edison in 2004 to spend
more time planting flowers, fishing and enjoying his family.


William’s family will be holding a private ceremony to celebrate his life with good food and drink, just as he would have loved. In lieu of flowers, an in-honor donation can be made to Wounded Warrior Project.


Daniel Joseph Rybarczyk

Passed away on 11/30/2019

Daniel Joseph Rybarczyk (43), passed away suddenly on November 30, 2019.  

He is the beloved son of Harry & Leonie; beloved brother of Angela (Dan) & Steven (Nora); beloved fiance (honey) of Martha; and cousin & nephew to many.  He will be remembered for his extreme dedication & hard work; for his big heart, beautiful carpentry, multi-talents, generous nature & Warm friendship.  His Gift of Hope organ donations that have helped the lives of others are a lasting legacy.  He will be deeply missed. 

Funeral services will be held at : Our Lady of Victory Parish, 5212 W. Agatite, Chicago, IL, on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

Visitation:  Starts at 9:00am followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00am

Internment: At Holy Cross Cemetery, calumet City, IL.
